Plating specifications are used to meet many different application requirements. Oftentimes, solderability is a key feature of the deposit. Selective Plating provides several solderable finishes including copper, nickel, various tin/lead alloys and 100% tin. A common use for tin/lead and 100% tin is for preserving the solderability of the base metal.
